What is your motivation?
I started to seriously workout seven years ago after my
daughter was born. I had put on weight before and during the pregnancy.
Once I got to my pre-pregnancy weight I have strived to maintain it. I
have a horrible sweet tooth and when I exercise regularly I find it helps
with the cravings and I am more conscious of what I eat.
Who/What has influenced you and why?
I grew up the only girl with eight brothers and so I was
quite the tomboy. My brothers were always active in sporting events and
they influenced me to play sports as well. In addition my husband Brian
and good friend Pam are serious runners who are constantly challenging
themselves and that inspires me to challenge myself.
What health advice would you give others?
Do SOMETHING for 30 minutes a day whether it be walking,
running, riding a bike or rollerblading etc..... Some days I incorporate
my kids and then we all benefit from it. Also, I don't believe in
depravation, but moderation.
What does your general fitness program consist of?
In addition to Fitness Motivaor classes I try to run 2-3
miles 2x's a week and do various DVD workouts at home. I also walk on a
regular basis.
What is your favorite food?
I enjoy just about any Mexcian and Italian food.
What are your short term goals?
Cutting back on sweets and junk food.
What are your long term goals?
Staying healthy by eating better, maintaining a certain
weight and I would LOVE to have great looking abs and upper body strength.
